You can't move ANY part of your body? Not at ALL? Perhaps you need to see a physical therapist to get consultation on some kind of exercise regimen that you can take advantage of; unless you're tied up in knots like Stephen Hawking, there's usually SOMETHING you can do to burn a few calories.

On the nutrition side, fasting may result in water weight loss initially, but over a few weeks your body will decide that there is a famine going on and your metabolism will drop. Then, every calorie you eat will require you to spend up to 3x as much time exercising to get rid of it, meaning that fasting might cause you to GAIN weight.

Better for you to see a nutritionist and get some solid strategies for your specific situation. Meanwhile, drink 6-8 ounces of water every two hours and eat lots of non-white foods--oatmeal, brown rice, no sugars, whole wheat breads, etc. and small portions to keep your metabolism up and your elimination steady.

Good luck!

Yes and no. When you fast you will typically lose weight because your body has nothing to burn but itself.

However, fasting causes the metabolism to slow down, and add that to the fact that you cannot workout, and what you will discover that as soon as you begin eating again, the pounds come right back (and then some). You'll find you gain weight easier than before you fasted, because your body will hoard every calorie you give it in case there is another "famine".

To lose weight, and keep it off, make a lifestyle change. Eat healthy and keep your calorie intake to a level that won't cause weight gain. To help discover how many calories you should consume a day for weightloss or maintenance, go to http://www.freedieting.com/tools/ideal_body_weight.htm

Cut junk food and sodas and sweets and other high calorie, low nutrition foods out of your diet (or make them occasional snacks). If there is ANY physical activity you can do for exercise then do it. I'm not familiar with your condition, but any movement you can make will help burn calories so do what you can..

Good luck!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

NO NO NO, you have to eat to loss... you should eat 5 to 6 times a day, small meals 3oz protein 4oz starch and 8oz veggies (the greener the better), and water lots of water though out the day. take your body weight divide by 2 and that's how many oz you should drink of water. Fasting will only screw up your metabolism. Good Luck
