There no good reason for Jr to leave DEI for Rod Osterland. If he's fed up with DEI and Teresa, I'd suggest really pushing his JR motorsports toward NEXTEL Cup. Nothing wrong with being owner/driver. He'd be able to put together a VERY solid and sponsorable team in a flash.

I'm a Dale Jr fan and I think that he will leave DEI after his contract is over. If Junior does leave DEI and goes to RCR, I hope he doesn't drive his father's car. I would want for Jr to drive his own car, use his own racing number, and use his own paint scheme. The #3 car, number and paint scheme need to be retired.
I would much rather see Dale Jr at Joe Gibbs Racing than at RCR though as he and Tony Stewart always work great together. Junior is building his own legacy in Nascar and if he drives his father's car then that would be taking steps back and not going forward.
Also...you can tell that Martin Truex Jr is ready to leave as well as he was pissed off with what happened to him during Sunday's race. Truex may just be wishing that he never signed that contract with DEI. The main reason why he even signed with DEI is because he and Dale Jr are best friends and Dale Jr helped him get a shot into Nascar. Dale Jr was the person who signed Truex to his Busch series team...Chance 2 Motorsports.
Either way...Theresa better realize that without Dale Jr that DEI is gonna crumble. Dale Sr started DEI so his children could have part of Nascar...it wasn't meant for her. She is ruining the company that her late husband started. I heard Dale Jr said in an interview that his father would not like how Theresa is acting.

No Dale Jr should not leave and race for Richard Childress Racing. Dale Sr started DEI to have something to pass on to his children. Dale Jr should stay and get the ownership that he and his siblings deserve. If Dale Jr leaves DEI more then likely it will fold in a few years, because it would be hard to replace a driver as popular as Dale Jr. Right now I think DEI is going thru a slump with their race team, one that every team goes thru in NASCAR. RCR is just coming out of a slump and giving their drivers all good cars that are dialed in each week. Give DEI a year or two and I am sure they will be back to dominating races like they were in the early 2000's.

No, he shouldnt leave. They have had bad luck and some mechanical problems so far but we are only 2 races into the season. Obviously not the start that they nor the fans wanted to get off to, but thats the way it is. Jumping teams isnt the answer. They have a lot of potential and resources at DEI and the results of the first two races are not an indication of lack of effort or resources. Dont forget that Jr. made the chase 2 of the last 3 years with the same team. Its too early in the season to throw in the towel already.

Yes and no, Yes because RCR would give him a better chance to win each and every race look at Harvick and Burton they are some of the best out there after Childress got his shop in order. But no because DEI is were he will be able to transition into an owner with a huge following with big revenue. Also if he leaves DEI then Dale SR's life work will just be memories.

Jr needs to leave DEI and just concentrate on racing (and all the commercials he does). The distraction of ownership is not in his best interest, even though he thinks it is. The best owners just handle the personnel and logistics of running a competitive race team. Drivers that want to win a championship need to focus on the handling of the cars, how to approach a certain track and individual turns NOT budgets, who to get your parts from and who to hire and fire. Richard Childress has finally gotten his teams pretty consistent across the board and looks like he may produce a champion once again. He has the resources and know how, why does Jr want to wallow in mediocrity anymore? Do you want riches, fame or championships Jr? Pick your poison but I think deep down the racer in Jr would just as soon win as anything else.

If Theresa is unwilling to give Junior majority ownership or make a real commitment to giving the DEI guys the equipment to keep up with the Hendrick, Roush and RCR teams, then he should go race for RCR. Then he would have a chance to win the championship.

Earnhardt Senior built DEI for Dale jr because in 1998 he told Tony Eury when Dale jr was in the Busch Series that he was bulding DEI for jr and he said " gotta leave them kids something"

I am a Dale Jr. fan, I wish he would stay at DEI. But, He he want to win a championship, he needs to go to RCR. DEI is not ready to be a championship CUP team. Plus it would be great to see the #3 back, with BUD on it.
