Hi ladies, has anyone out there tried any kind of the body, gel or wat not? I saw the models in magazine or on TV -- they always have a beautiful shiny skin. What kind of product makes ur skin shiny like that? If u know, please show me where I can get it and how much is it? And also please tell me which one worked well for you. I've tried baby gel (similar to baby oil) but it didn't work and didn't make my body shiny either. If u know anything or if u have actually tried it urself, please show me! Thank you very much and u have a good one! oh by the way, are body gel and body oil the same? Thanks once again!! I'd love to have my body shiny all the time, e.g. when i go to the beach. And do u know if that body oil/gel is waterproof? Thankssssss

Shiny Body Oil

No oil is going to stay shiny. As the day goes on it seeps into the skin just like moisturizer, so you just need to keep reapplying if your going for the wet look. I use neutrogena body oil, love it for moisture and massage. You can put it on in the shower or on dry skin after the shower. I think it's about $8-$9 but there are two sizes it comes in so it may be more. And I get it at the Hannaford Grocery store or at CVS or Rite aid. Oh I forgot there is this stuff Abolene makeup remover/moisturizer but it's kind of greasy but I bet it might work.

Baby oil should work fine, or a lotion with shimmer in it. Aveeno's Positively Radiant lotion is very nice. And I would say that baby oil is somewhat waterproof, I know I have to scrub with soap to get it off, but it eventually will fade or dry out within a day. Baby oil and baby oil gel have most of the same components, but the gel is thicker and I tend to think it lasts longer.

mac pro cosmetic line has this product for a shiny/oily/wet look it also for fake tears. the prodct is called glycerin spray.

also they have a product called glimmer shimmer its
a refined pearlized lotion for highlighting and adding a sophisticated glimmer and shimmer to the skin.

maybe you should try a body shimmer dust too. most cosmetic brands carry that. oils and gels tend to rub off easily and mught ruin clothing. try some lotion or moisturizer then dust on some body shimmer powder.

if you want to try it at the beach then maybe try something like jergens glowing lotion or olay gowing lotion. not really sure the exact product names and of the price but makes your skin really soft and smooth plus it adds shimmer.

as for the difference between oil and gel, gel is more of water based and light, not so greasy but may rub off easily. oil gives more smoothness and shine but is greasier.

Bronzing lotion! Gives some shine and color without orange.

Dust over with very fine body glitter. (powder, not sparkles! That's so 7th grade)

There might exsist a shimmering body lotion in the cosmetics aisle.

Baby oil shines weird and you can tell it's baby oil... it glistens too much and you can't cover the smell.

Me too,I've always wondered how can Naomi Campbell have such shiny skin.... I agree with other girls, and would like 2 add "Huile gelée au Monoi de Tahiti" from Yves Rocher. It's a sort of liquid gel with sparkles (but they're ok,believe me!); I used it last summer and had those Naomi and Rihanna glow look :-)

the models on tv and magazines and everything have their body's airbrushed, so unless you come a model your skin wont look like that. its unnatural and looks sweaty all the time, why would you want that?

but you should try tanning oil, just spray it on. it'll make your skin look glowy and shiny. if you have fair skin then just use baby oil.

hello babe, well lets start. ur quite young so dont stress, usually if u are stressed about something it takes roughly three months for your body to show tell tale signs, so if u had surgery where u were put under for example, ur hair will mult 3 months later its a normal thing if u have had surgery or are taking any types of prescriptions, your body has weird ways of dealing with stress, skin disorders, sleep patterns, hair loss, etc, these things are nothing to worry about, your hair also does go thru phases of where it will grow for months to years and then drop out and re grow, but dont worry not all of it jus some of it, (as u get older with time ur hair has a natural thinning process, we all go thru it with age, but lucky if u have natural dark thick hair to begin with) - it seems like alot but trust me it will be back in no time. so try not to stress. hair also needs sleep and hydration and nuitrition, if ur lacking sleep and diets not to great? try a mult v also take silica which is good for maitaining shine and health. silica comes in tab form at pharmacies, drink drink drink, water!!!! thats what keeps ur hair also hydrated, whatever u lack ur hair cops as well so if ur hairs dry try and eat things with natural oils like salads with avocado, they contain natural oils do not opt for fatty oils as they will make ur hair produce more oil and wont give much to making ur hair grow, keep up treatments trims etc, and its good to not color ur hair, keep it real and u will have nice length, color and people will envy what they dont have. things that contain zinc are also fab! also take tab form, zinc is found in carrots i think, sweet potatoes and other foods greens and leafy vege, look it up. and if hair is damaged at ends cut it immediatley, damaged hair is as useless as a flat tyre, it will also affect the good parts of the hair by travelling upwards which jus snaps off anyway. hope i was of some help. try kerastase masquintense by loreal its an awesome hair treatment, dont stress! goodluck.xox
