Your system is telling you that you aren't eating enough carbs. Check on your body type... you might be in need of more carbs (I suggest you eat low glycaemic index ones). These low carb fads aren't good for everybody you know?
I get dizzy and irritable on low carbs AND I don't lose weight. What works wonders for me is low FAT.

This was a big thing with the Atkins diet too. The first phase is the carb restriction phase which you remain on until you have lost your desired amount of weight. Are you completely cutting out carbs? This could definitely make you dizzy. The most common misconception I have heard is that carbs are just generally bad but this isn't true. Basically, don't eat anything white - white bread, white pasta, white rice, etc. Find things that are brown (with bread, make sure that the flour used in the bread is not enriched or processed. Get bread that says whole wheat or whole grain). Green vegetables, I believe have complex carbs in them also, which is good. Simple carbs turn into sugar immediately and make you feel hungry faster. Complex carbs also turn into sugar (which you do need a little of) but it takes longer. You should limit your intake of all carbs, complex or simple, but do not take them out of your diet altogether. Everything eaten in moderation works together with your body to make you more healthy. Good luck!

I started the South Beach Diet last week and I have lost 13 lbs so far! I felt dizzy too and craved carbs like crazy. But it goes away. Don't cheat on it or anything though because then you will crave more. Also I got belly aches too. But now I am happy and proud that I am losing the weight!

Eat sugar! Eat carbs! Your body is being deprived.......this is what is causing the dizziness and nausea. Do not over do on the sugar and carbs that is actually worse for you........eat something with sugar and carbs, protein wouldn't hurt either. Also you may want to go to the doctor, there is a terrible strep virus that goes undetected with a quick strep test, that could be the problem if the sugar and carbs dont work . Best of luck to you and your journey

I'd give it a little time. It may take a week or two for your body to adjust to your new diet, for some people that just happens with a diet. Your body should straighten itself out, and if it doesn't then you should think about changing what you eat. (Make sure you are eating everything that is recommended, if you don't that could be very unhealty and causing the dizziness).

Oj,
It sounds like you're suffering from low blood sugar, which can become dangerous. Carbs become sugar in your body, so no carbs or sugar can lead to a dangerous drop in blood sugar.
Sip some juice and see if you don't feel better... and be careful!
