okay so to make a story short i like him, he knows, we're good friends, nothing more for now, tommorrow's his b-day, i wanna get him something, but not something that will say "i like you" and not too expensivem, so wtvr any suggestions for presents?

Get him something that he likes and is interested in. Does he play sports? What is his fav t.v show? Does he like video games? Think of something that he likes and something cheap that could go with that.

when i really care about someone whether it be a friend, or someone i am interested in, i usually share something that i am interested in like something personal. example is like when i am walking alone and i see a nice rock, i collect rocks, so i may pick it up and if i like it i tell the person how i was walking by myself and i saw this rock, or tripped on this rock, or shell, or even buy a little crystal, and then i tell them how i was actually thinking of them when i saw it or tripped, or etc, whatever. ya know? it's more special that way. of course i do have to tell them how i collect them for it to be significant ya know?

How about a cd that you know he'll like, or something easy like a gift certificate to a food place. Not that I'm a big fast food fan, but those gift cert. start around $5 I think.... of maybe to a coffee place like Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks? Keep it simple.

you can get him a nice cushion with cartoons on, a key chain with his initials, you can make him a CD of his favorite songs, a crystal small figure or you can get him something for his car if he has one.
for the cheapest thing .. you can send him a Birthday e-card or an SMS :)
