he says the lovelyist things and makes me smile but then he just says something rude.. he said to me i look preety and then he says jokes like im fat or watever as a joke.. cnt he just say these nice things and leave it at that.. WHY does he have to just cover it up??

Yea, he could. But as much as you do appreciate him for complimenting you, you probably should just wave off something he says as a joke. And most importantly, since you know it is just a ''cover up'', you know it is a joke, and he does not mean it. But then you are right. Listening to it, no matter as a joke, could hurt. Talk to him. Next time he compliments dont feel flattered, instead look him in the eye and show that you really are upset...and then tell him just exaclty why...

Some guys are just that way, they are trying to test your personality and see how you will take things, as a joke or if it will hurt your feelings. They might be saying it as it's fat or it's Phat, as meaning it's cool. Some kids these days talk that way and it is strange but it depends on the way they talk if you can understand his lingo.

He's kinda shy about showing you his true feelings... don't like a jerk like this. My ex says I am pretty and 10 minutes later says I am really annoying and I am sooo ugly.
Guys... why can't they just make up their mind?

He, like me, I suppose is an ashle. But he loves you and wants to be nice. It takes effort for an ashle to be nice, even when you mean it.
