It usually calms down a cat. It also reduces the risk of certain cancers and prevents unwanted kittens. Be responsible and get your cat fixed!

Yes and no. It depends on the cats age. If the cat is over 2 years of age most of the time the damage has been done and the hormones have permenently changed your cats personality. However, the health benefits of getting your cat neutered are always worth it. Cats that are fixed live an average of 3 years longer.
If your cat is young though, yes yes yes, fixing him/her will help alot. Males and females both can get more aggressive if they are unfixed. It has to do with hormones. As well males cats will start urinating all over your house and fighting with other cats if you dont get him fixed....and females will start yowling their heads off once a month and will act like a brazen hussy if you dont get them fixed. A nice cat is a neutered cat. Hope this helps.
P.S. If you cat is a baby, he may be biting cause he is teething....he will eventually grow out of it. Until he does squirt him with water whenever he nips.

My cats became more loving after I got them fixed. Of course my female gained alot of weight. But it beats having her run around yelling and having the males go nuts. Of course not all cats are the same. As far as the biting goes my male cat still bites me. Thank goodness they are love bites.

most people say it calms the cats down so they dont bite or attack as much but your cat will be sore after the surgery!

Well, if they bite and are very wild , before they are fixed, like males, they sometimes wont settle down, but they wont wonder off far, and they wont spray.

well i'm sure every cat is different, but when i got mine neutered at 6 months, i don't think he even knew he was gone. i was worried he would be mad at me or hide when he got home after being away for a night, but it didn't even faze him. just my experience.
