"For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge" Romans 10:2

"even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:25

FOR many years, there had been much opposition on Biblical grounds to the developing idea that Jesus was God. To try to solve the dispute, Roman emperor Constantine summoned all bishops to Nicaea. About 300, a fraction of the total, actually attended. Constantine was not a Christian. Supposedly, he converted later in life, but he was not baptized until he lay dying. The bishops summoned decided that Jesus and God were one and the same.
It took centuries from the time of Christ for the Trinity to become widely accepted in Christendom. And in all of this, what guided the decisions? Was it the Word of God, or was it clerical and political considerations? In Origin and Evolution of Religion, E. W. Hopkins answers: "The final orthodox definition of the trinity was largely a matter of church politics."

No, they are demonic, because of the fact in the event that they are coaching lies, something is going. Thank God those non secular leaders do no longer talk for Him, yet for themselves. See James 3:14-sixteen and a million Timothy 4:a million-2.

Yes, He did Claim to be God with Rock hard solid evidence that refutes your claim accept it.

If Jesus is not God, then explain...

Why Thomas calls Jesus God in John 20:28? (Note, Thomas addresses Jesus specifically.)
Why does God call Jesus God in Heb. 1:8?
Why does John the apostle state that Jesus was the Word which was God that became flesh (John 1:1,14)?
Why is the phrase "Call upon the name of the LORD" (Hebrew, YHWH, i.e., Psalm 116:4) used only of God on the OT, and translated into the Greek in the LXX as "Call upon the name of the LORD (greek, KURIOS)," applied to Jesus in the NT (1 Cor. 1:2) if Jesus is not God in flesh?
Why does the apostle John say that Jesus was , "...calling God His own Father, making Himself equal to God," (John 5:18)?
What did Jesus say that caused the Pharisees to claim that Jesus was making Himself out to be God.
How was it possible for Jesus to know all things (John 21:17)?
How can Jesus know all men (John 16:30)?
How can Jesus be everywhere (Matt. 28:20)?
How can Jesus, the Christ, dwell in you (Col. 1:27)?
How can Jesus be the exact representation of the Nature of God (Heb. 1:3)?
How can Jesus be eternal (Micah 5:1-2)?
How can Jesus be the one who gives eternal life (John 10:27-28)?
How can He be our only Lord and Master (Jude 4)?
How can Jesus be called the Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6) if there is only one God
in existence (Isaiah 44:6-8; 45:5)?
How can Jesus be called the Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6) and "God" also be called the Mighty God in Isaiah 10:21?
How was Jesus able to raise Himself from the dead (John 2:19-21)?
How can Jesus create all things (Col. 1:16-17), yet it is God who created all things by Himself (Isaiah 44:24)?
How can Jesus search the hearts and minds of the people (Rev. 2:23)?
Why was Jesus worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33; 28:9; John 9:35-38; Heb. 1:6) when He says to worship God only (Matt. 4:10)? (same Greek word for worship is used in each place.)
In the OT God was seen (Exodus 6:2-3; 24:9-11; Num. 12:6-9; Acts 7:2), yet no man can see God (Exodus 33:20; John 1:18). It was not the Father that was seen in the OT (John 6:46). Who, then were they seeing? See John 8:58.
Then why did Jesus claim the divine name, "I AM", for Himself in John 8:58? see Exodus 3:14.
Then why did Jesus say you must honor him even as you honor the Father (John 5:23)?
Then why is it that both the Father and the Son give life (John 5:21)?
Then why did Jesus bear witness of Himself (John 8:18; 14:6)?

Read John
John 8:24, "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." (NKJV)

Because they're christians. Sadly for them, they can't get it through their minds that Jesus was a jew teaching other jews about judaism. The made this whole personality cult around a preacher and forgot to remember the actual message he preached. Just look how they take up collections and tithes in spite of Jesus rampaging at the greedy phariscees in the temple courtyard... those slimy buggarts were selling livestock at outrageous prices for people to sacrifice to God. Christians today however see absolutely nothing wrong with a TV preacher asking for money just to pray for them. In sunday mass, the collection plate often passes around TWICE to coerce the faithful into paying for their services, all the while angry little glares from the parish focused on the meek too poor to spare a dime.

You think they would catch on when the last words of Jesus were "my god, my god, why have you forsaken me?" I mean, that right there kind of proves he wasn't the one, it's like Martin Luther King saying with his last breath "you know, slavery really was a good idea!" One'd think that if somebody really was God himself, he'd be confident enough not to ask himself why he turned on himself.

You are wrong there. The Jews sought to stone him for making himself equal with God. John 5:18
For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. There are many other examples also. He called himself "I Am" one of the names of God. John 8:58
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" He claimed be pre existent, as God. The belief that Jesus is God in the flesh is central to Christian faith.
Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. God in human flesh.
He claimed to be able to forgive sin, as only God could do. Mark 2:5
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven."
You are right when you say he called himself son of man, and son of God because in his earthly role he was those things also.
However, only a sinless God could pay the penalty for sin and death and therefore set the guilty free.

Clearly, there are many gods. Some, as we have seen, are named in the Bible. Yet, people who saw Jehovah’s power long ago exclaimed: “Jehovah is the true God! Jehovah is the true God!” (1 Kings 18:39) Another god, however, also has power. The Bible says: “The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.”—2 Corinthians 4:4, King James Version.

We all have the potentials to become God. We are all sons of God. Jesus is unique because he was aware and lived up his spirit to it. He is the only personality recognized by Christians but there are others who made it to Christhood.

Jehovah Witnesses are very knowledgable about the many different theories of who Jesus was, for example they believe Jesus is Michael the Archangel. So there are many different interpretations of what Jesus was exactly.
Few agree, many disagree.

In religion you're free to believe anything you care to. None of the beliefs could stand up under careful study.
If some people want to believe that Jesus is God - - he's God. If others believe he is not God - - - then he's not.
