Yes, the U.S. does have the moral ground to question North Korea.
Put aside the anti-American agenda for a moment... Would the world REALLY be a better place if North Korea kept its nukes and Iran developed them?

If you are going to make up a number why not say the US has a billion nuclear weapons?
According to the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists from '04 and the provisions of the various disarmament treaties the US has approximately 960+ nuclear weapons. The Russians have approximately 923 nuclear bombs. Both of the largest stockpiles of Nuclear Devices don't even add up to 2000 total.
And yes, we do have the grounds to tell N Korea not to develop nuclear weapons. They are still technically at war with S Korea and would be likely to use WMDs if they became desperate and decided to act. Iran has said repeatedly that they would like to wipe out Israel. Both of the leaders of these two countries have made repeated threats to their neighbors and their having nuclear weapons available would further destabilize the region they occupy.
The US used Atomic Weapons during a declared war against an enemy with hostile intent that had attacked us first. We had pushed Japan back across the Pacific and inflicted staggering losses to their military. Their Emperor could have stopped the attack at any time by surrendering, but he criminally pushed his people to fight for the death. It was determined that it was likely the US could lose many hundreds of thousands of men by making an attack on the mainland of Japan so the use of nuclear weapons was determined to be the best bet to force Japan's surrender while saving as many American lives as possible.

It only take one!
When someone in power of a country that is on the verge on producing a nuclear device, says that another country needs to be wiped off the map. It make people nervous about the issue. Do you think Ahmadinejad's control of Iran is minor?
And yes we dropped a device on Japan... 62 years ago! Remember, Japan attacked the world and would not give up, even after defeat. The estimated death toll if we had stormed the shores of Japan during the end of WWII: A million.

We bombed Japan and they suffered thousands of deaths, which was completely avoidable on their part.. If we had invaded Japan in a D-Day like fashion I would estimate around 4-5 million US Marine's would die. I accept this trade and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Yes we have the moral ground to question Korea with nuclear weapons.

Justification of U.S. nuclear bombing on Japan at the end of WWII and monopolization of nuclear weapons by a limited number of country today (and for the future) are two different questions.
One thing clear is that U.S. is not the police of the world; no nations on earth gave the U.S. an authority to speak and act like that. If the U.S. thinks its overwhelming military power, including that absurdly large number of nuclear weapons, is contributing to peace and stability of the world, there must be something wrong with U.S. morality.
No matter how hard you try to justify yourself, U.S. self-centered arrogance and morality is being questioned.

Sorry to have to point this out to you Umar, but we were in the middle of a World War when we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Iran wants to use theirs to wipe Israel off the map and North Korea wants to blackmail the world. Just a little difference there. No hypocrisy. It's my opinion we use preemptive strikes against both of these regimes ASAP. Sorry, but these are just the facts in the world we live in now. Or we can allow ourselves to be blackmailed into doing whatever their nutjob leaders want us to do.

by way of tone of your question i do no longer think of you have a genuine interest in taping into the perspective of President Harry Truman, or any President when you consider that then with understand to the strategies that they have got made in workplace, fairly than spue out your obtrusive animous against the united statesA. There has in no way been a sixty twelve months conflict, a minimum of no longer one that the U.S. has been in contact in. i'm uncertain by utilising what you advise once you assert "conspiracy against all lawful governments". returned to the unique question which isn't complicated to respond to. in direction of the tip of international conflict 2, after u.s. liberated Europe from the Nazi's, the recipients of u.s.'s armed forces help desperate to no longer help u.s. win the conflict in the Pacific against Japan. the activity of ending eastern agression became into as much as u.s. on my own. Japan became into sponsored right into a nook and refused to provide up. the alternative to dropping the two atomic bombs became into an entire scale invasion of Japan. If that befell it became into expected that a million American solidiers could have been killed. so as 2 keep a million individuals Harry Truman ordered the 1st a-bomb to be dropped. Afterwards Truman gave Japan yet yet another hazard to provide up. while they did no longer he ordered the dropping of the 2nd. Truman bluffed and advised the eastern gov. that u.s. had extra, and became into going to proceed dropping those bombs in the event that they did no longer renounce, yet certainly u.s. in basic terms had 2. the eastern believed him and ultimately surrendered. a million lives have been spared on the rate of 212,000. Its unhappy, yet this international is unhappy. Trumans criminal accountability became into to guard American lives no longer eastern lives.

If every nation had nuclear weapons, who do you think would use them next? The US has not used them except to end WW2, sixty years ago. That is a damn fine record for the whole world. Let's keep it that way.
