I used toothpaste last night on the tip of my nose where I think a zit was forming(I dont usually get zits....this just looked like it was one...it was a bump and red)for only 10 minutes to dry it then rinsed off the toothpaste. I woke up this morning with a painful chunk missing from my nose that was covered with a clear scab that looked like a grain of sugar. I rubbed off the scab and I swear like 3 layers of skin are missing from a deep chunk about half the size of a grain of rice. It surrounded by red skin and damn does it sting! What happened??

What kind of toothpaste do you use, does it have alot of alcohol in it? You are only supposed to put a very small amount, right at the center of the zit, sounds like you went further out, and the surrounding skin is burnt, so to speak. Leave it alone, other than to apply aloe vera or bag balm.

OUCH!
I've heard of using toothpaste for a zit, but never actually tried it myself.
Call a dermatologist if it gets any worse or looks infected.

The toothpaste must have been too strong to use , just put something soothing on it like a little vaseline (very little) and it should heal itself in a few days and be gone. betty k

you put toothpaste on the end of your nose...DUH. The tooth fairy isn't a mind reader, if there is toothpaste on it, then it's good to yank. Did she at least leave you a quarter? Look on the bright side...at least the pimple wasn't on your boob.
