I am looking for information/link to potable water spec. I have found drinking water specs set by the EPA but need a potable water spec. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Jim

Water free from impurities present in amounts sufficient to cause disease or harmful physiological effects and conforming in bacterioogical and chemical quality to the requirements of the Public Health Service Drinking Water Standards or the regulations of the public health authority having jurisdiction

What is the difference between drinking water and potable water? I thought they are same! To my limited knowledge, potable water means water fit to drink.

Same thing. "Potable" means suitable for drinking.
