I'm usually a very happy person but sometimes little things happen like i fall out with a friend or get told off or something and then i start to feel really sad. then i think about all the bad things in my life and although i try to overrule these with happy stuff it never really seems to work! how can i try to combat these feelings?!

It sounds to me like you do eventually get over these feelings. Right? If so, that's a perfectly normal way to feel. It's ok to be sad sometimes when something bad happens. If you think it's something more serious you should talk to a doctor.

Life is full of ups and downs. It is not unusual to feel sad when you have a falling out with a good friend or family member. It is also not unusual to feel sad when you are hollared at or told off at work. But when these feelings start to overwhelm you and go on for days and even weeks or months, then you are suffering from depression. Depression can be treated many ways, either with talk therapy, medication or with alternative medicine. St. John's Wort is used a lot in Europe to treat depression with good results. Go to a health food store and ask for their help. If you are not a alternative medicine person, then go see your medical doctor.

Little things use to bum me out to even though I new it wasn't much but couldn't help getting all depressed about it. Are you taking meds if not ask for either Prozacs or Celexia. If your med resistant doctors don't talk about this may be the line up is to long but there is a new treatment that's supposed to really good called Trans Cranial Magnetic Stimulation. Try to exercise when you start to get that way the release of endorphins really help. Hope this helped.

I positioned my faith in morality and faith is in basic terms an previous approach to share a lots mandatory experience of morality, that without we'd be lost. yet i've got self assurance the time has come to evolve and positioned faith and objective to a greater tangible and deserving species. and there are some exciting issues occurring interior the medical community to steer me to belive that our concsioness isn't constrained to our actual bodies. examine the international understanding expierement or the double slit expierament.

One thing that has worked for me is making a CD full of super happy music - like pop stuff that makes you want to dance along. Music never fails to affect my mood. :)
