My niece would not wipe herself clean after using the toilet. All her underwear was black at the crotch by the time she took it off, and she was 14 at the time when I became aware of it. (She visited for a couple of weeks while her parents were away. Her laundry got added to mine.)

I mentioned the problem to her Mom, and bugged her repeatedly until she had a "talk" with the kid about disease and the need for cleanliness.

Two years later it came to my attention that this was still going on. (Another visit.) And I made her Mom have another talk with her, this time getting very graphic about just how unlikely boys would be to want to date a girl that smelled shitty.

That time it worked.

So maybe the mother should mention how disease can be spread by improper cleansing of toileting surfaces. And if the girl is older, maybe she should be reminded that her future boyfriends will think her quite strange if she can't take care of herself and her environment, regarding toileting functions.

How old is she? If she is under 8 she shouldn't be using cleaning chemicals but she can wipe up after herself and flush. If she is so little that she is afraid to flush, have her ask for an adult to be with her, but she should do the flushing. She can clean along side mom or you for the other things. If she is older (8+) then she needs some consequesnces for this behavior.

I used to be *terrified* of flushing the toilet because of the times it overflowed. I still have issues about overflowing toilets.

If she's young, make her understand that she must flush if she goes "wee-wee", but that you'll "help" her if she "made poo". And then just stand there with her as she flushes the poo.... just kind of a reassuring gesture, you know? The bathroom can be a scary place for little kids!

All u have to do is just talk to the child, sit her down and look her in the eye and tell her what is on ur mind and what u think that she should do ( if that does not really work then talk to her mom) Maybe offer her a reward for doing it

If she's little, I can understand why she won't clean it.

I have one that won't flush the potty, either. Its because he's scared of it.
