time to get a new best friend

It would depend on how I felt about my ex. If I no longer had any emotional attachment and no plans to get back together I would probably feel sorry for my best friend. If I had plans for getting back together with my ex I would mention it to my best friend.
Basically who your ex dates and who you date is each of your own business. The term ex in and of itself means no strings attached.

It depends how long it has been since yall stopped dating, but that is a forbidden law NEVER date a man that has been with your best friend.
