Unless your born with money, its never easy to move out on your own. It depends on how independant you are and your desire to survive! I did it at 17, with a roommate the same age and we struggled but if you're as independant and/or rebellious as I was, you'll make it! That was a long time ago for me but looking back, there where struggles but they were worth it!!
However, I will say that seeing teenagers today living at home and driving nice vehicles, going to school, money to blow, etc., it might be worth it to stay with mom and dad as long as you can. The real world will still be waiting when you get there!!

I'd say it isn't easy. I did it but in addition to a baby. I survived but things were tight or at least they felt like they were. You definately need savings, for those times that get crazy and money is short or an unexpected expense such as a car problem comes up. You need a good steady job and very few pay well enough so that you have that extra cash to treat yourself. I don't know your situation, but I say stick with your parents as long as you can and then move out when you are responsible enough to. Rent is not the only expense you will have! Utilities (those add up and you don't even know who is using it all), gas, food, clothing, etc. It's really up to you and if you think you are ready to handle that responsibility. I love being responsible which is why I moved out, had a child and got married. The world is a cold and cruel place, GOOD LUCK!!!

It depends on your financial situation and ability to get a place. But it is not impossible many 17yr olds strike out on their own but they usually reside with older friends boyfriends. My own daughter moved in with her boyfriend at 17 1/2.

Depends on the 17 year old.
If you have a job and some sense of responsibility it shouldn't be a problem.

depends on if your parents will let you, if they don't care it isn't hard at all although they will still be held responsible if you get into trouble, to be emancipated by the courts cost alot of money,, easier to live at, stash thousand of dollars away and when 18 move out

You can't sign the lease on your own until you're 18. You also can't get your utilities. You'd need a parent or guardian to co-sign.
