Just straight up tell him that you like him and want to know how he feels towards you...it's as simple as that

Been in your shoes before when i was younger and in high school. I like one of my best friends and I strugled with telling him or not. And Yes you should tell him i finally did and at first we just stayed friends but then he realized he liked me as well. So yes you should tell him at least that way it is out in the open

u could begin by starting up a conversation, being friendly, seeing if he seems also friendly to u, than move from there. don't be in too much of a hurry, relationships have to be built they just don't happen over night. don't appear to eager, but do converse, invite him over to the house, talk to him, and make it a close friendship first.

be blunt and honest and just tell your friend you have more than friendship feelings towards him and how does he feel about that.
he might or might not return your feelings so you might be prepared if he does not feel the same
upfront and honest is almost always the best policy

what have you got to loss.....tell him you like him. It's not going to to kill if he doesnt like you back it just may hurt a little or who knows he may like you back.
