are true. afterall they basically preach the same thing. people have intereprated the holy writings differently over time which seems to have led to conflict about what is right and wrong. The differences that are apparnt in different religions could just be becuase God has revealed differnet messages for the different eras. Mankind has progressed and therefore differnt messages are needed at different times.

All religions point us to different gods....if religion is more about a relationship with God than a set of common principles, only one religion can be true....

I think it it much more likely that all religions are man-made/false. People have a need to explain the unexplainable, deal with death, feel like they have some control over random events. Also, governements needed a way to control the populace and keep society intact as well. Thus, religion was created (by man - bourne out of superstition) to satisfy these needs.

The concept of all religions being more or less the same is very thin. For instance - Buddhism has no god; Judaism preaches 'An eye for an eye'; Christianity says 'turn the other cheek'; Islam has the Jihad; Buddhism says that any killing is wrong.

How can all religions possibly be equally right, when one religion says there is Only One God, & another says that there are thousands of gods?

Does believing that only one religion is right mean that all the rest are 100% totally wrong? Of course not. It means that some religions are closer to the Truth than others, & one in particular is the closest of them all.

Religion is a man made concept for social control. For example, Thou shalt not kill....but....smite Thine enemies, and, harm not Thy brother....but....Jihad. It seems to be an ongoing power struggle, fueled by an over supply of energetic young men, who all want to be boss. Cut through the hyperbole, and that is a continuing theme across time and cultures. To quote a comic strip observation, "If we are created in God's Image, He sure had a goofy sense of humor." Best wishes.

They can't all be true. some fundamental teachings are very different from religion to religion.

I do believe that all religions have some truth, but usually the truth is concealed under a massive body of falsehoods.

Yes...pretty much all religions lead to the same place.

There is a unity and harmony that exists among the messages...and if followed you reach the same place.

I believe there is a bit of truth and false in all religions. It's a big duke-out for everyone over which is which.

Yeah, I think all of them have truth to varying degrees. And yes, there are many things that seemingly very different religions have in common, you just have to look for them because they'll use some very different words to describe them - I think it's lots of fun searching for those common beliefs.

best wishes

Not all religions are true.

James 1:26 If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain.
