I need formal invitations for a surprise birthday party in April... Does anyone know of a website that has affordable, yet elegant formal invitations?

Also, Michael's sells affordable fancy blank invitations that you can fill out yourself with the computer.

These are pretty cheap and very nice:

I just did a search on the word "invitations" and a huge assortment of sites came up. Here are a couple to get you started and if they don't have what you are looking for then go ahead and do a search for yourself.

You can also go to stores and find kits to make your own formal invitations, it is not too difficult at all. There are also computer programs which allows you to make your own custom invitations or e-mail invitations which are animated and really cool.

Good luck and I hope your birthday party is a great success and everything you hope it will be. Have a great day!

Treasurethismoment.com is a really good site, they let you customize everything. the price is really reasonable too. I ordered some invitations from there and the shipping was free too.
