I ask this question for personal reasons and I just wondered if anyone could tell me what kind of people generally live in this area?

What I mean by rough is are the crime rates high, are the house prices low, is there a high rate of teenage pregnancy, what are the schools like? I know all places have rough areas, I'm not stupid I live in Liverpool for christs' sake!!!!!

Most of Bolton is pretty rough, you hear about a lot of stuff on the News, although there are some nice area's there...i'd be careful if i was you.

every where has rough people living there you have pockets of areas where the scum coagulates a bit like the scum round the bath tub it always gathers in the middle never on the edges

bottom end near crompton way is a bit rough
but most of the people are ok
