I just use my own computer to call my house-number, or cell....and it drives my family crazy!!!

just use voice.yahoo.com its free....

or you can use any free SIP service...like mindspring.com etc..

In the US, there were 'ringback' numbers that were different in most cities and States.. Most all of them have been removed. With all the new digital and automated Central Office equipment, there is really no need for it. It was abused by those who found the numbers. If a repair tech. needs a 'ring' test, he will request it from the test board, or just tap onto another line 'pair' and dial the number. Most all the techs on the road now carry cell phones anyway..

It use to be you could dial the number then hang up and it will ring. I have not done it in a while so I dont know if it will work or not. Good Luck

There is no number you can dial to make uyour home phone ring by using your home phone.. It can only use public phone or handphone to dial and put down which mean make a 'miss-call'..

wiki has some ring back info with some numbers at the bottom of the page.. i have voip so it proballay wont work for me, as they are diffrent for each central office...

YEs the last guy is right....
It is different for each or most states and even so for different countries...
And it was abused by prank callers and so on ..so they took it of.
