I was there a while ago. I try to think about people who love me and what would happen to me if I fail the suicide attempt. I don't want to live paralyzed or whatever for the rest of my life. I also take a look at a list of things that I want to accomplish. (e.g. like when you are little and you say that I want to travel and see the whole world. Want to have kids. etc.) And my advice to you is to either call the suicide hotline or your psychologist if you have one. And if you don't, find one and make an appointment asap.

Remember, your soul is unique. There is no one on this planet like you and no one can replace you if you bale out. Please do not do this. We come to earth for our souls to grow and learn. You can not learn what God intended if you take the easy way out. If you stay here I promise life gets easier and can even beocme wonderful. It all takes time and patience and you working on changing your outlook on life.
Read this book:
The Luck Factor by Dr. Richard Wiseman
This book gives you incredible insight to how to change your life and make it better. It is not that hard and anyone can do it. I do understand depression though as we have all been there one time or another. If yours is chronic depression it could be you brain mis-firing and you need medication. But if this is just due to a hard life, losing a loved one, no joy or goals in life and things like that you can change the course of your life, I did.
It is never ever worth suicide. You leave loved ones to grieve for you. Your pain is gone but you inflict pain on everyone around your (whether you like them or not). It causes a chain reaction that causes many things to happen.
Watch the movie:
Crash
This movie greatly portrays how all people are connected even if it is just by being human (race is not a issue), we are all the same. Crash shows how one persons life effects another person and so on. I really believe this to be true. I have been studying Srirituality the last four years. If I would have died when I was a teen (during my rough time) I would never have had two wonderful sons. One in the Army who just came back from Iraq with a metal for saving many lives. Who would have saved these soldiers? Could they have perished if Lt Pat was not born?
My other son has helped numerouse friends from uncertain problems by being there and counseling them. He talks out their problems with them and has helped to change their lives.
What would have happened to my mother? She is elderly and would have been homeless if not for me. And the story goes on.
You may not see the importance to your LIFE right now but you will someday when you look back. It is incredible how we interact with others and change the course of lives. We are living our Destiny and it is important we follow the Path God planned with us.
