I've been seeing a woman recently and we've become pretty close - a couple of dinners and drinks and last week I went to visit her at her house. However, I'm a little concerned by the fact that she has alot of books about the 3rd reich and Nazism. She tells me that she's interested in history, and laughed awkwardly when I said there's more to history than Nazism. She also makes comments about how some people are born inferior and 'you know how to tell' and comments about 'tainted blood' in modern society, whatever that means. Am I going out with a hideous racist? I don't know how to approach this with her - if it's true, that'd be awful.

Are you kidding? She actually made comments about people are either inferior or superior by birth and this is visually detectable along with "tainted blood" and you question whether she's a racist? COME ON!!!

She's worse than a racist, she's a hate-monger and possibly has psychological issues greater than you'd ever want to know.

End it, and quick. Change your phone number and hope to hell she doesn't find you again.

By the sounds of it you are dating a racist.. shame that there are people like that in the world. Then again.. you never know.. she generally might be interested in history and has just been reading to many books...

If you don't want to come out and say 'are you a racist' because she will probably deny it anyway.. tell her that your best friend is jewish or African American etc etc and observe her reaction.

Its a tough situation and i do hope it works out for the best.. Good luck

I would say Yes, she is... in your words a "hideous racist" just by her statement that some people are inferior to others should tell you that. Someone obviously brainwashed this woman and if you stick around as you become more and more attached to her she could very well brainwash you too. Be Strong, stick to your convictions whatever they are.

Its possible to be fascinated with Nazism without being a Nazi but comments about tainted blood are alarming. Ask her more about her political and racial views. I get a sinking feeling this woman is a Nazi but you need to ask.

offer her chicken soup...

and nazi's werent rascist, they were xenophobic, the disliked everyone who wasnt of true aryan descent..

it was merely eugenics, and teh swiss government still openly practiced this right into the late 70's... if the girl failed the equivalent of teh 11plus or gcse, she was deemed unfit to breed and was sterilised by the state.. that is bloody unforgivable... (im not sure what happened to the crayone eating boys)

the only way your going to discover what this woman is like, is to hang in there and find out. my daughter has posters of dead people all over her wall..cobaine hendrix morrison... that and spike (from buffy) and angel...

these guys are her role models..shes a guitarist... not that youd know just loking at her books and her walls..

I don't think she's crazy and all but just a little too fascinated with nazi and stuff. I suppose she likes it as much as guys loves cars. If this is something that you don't want to be associated with, then don't continue this relationship because if you ignore it, the problem will be a huge strain in this relationship.

haha... why don't you very casually ask her how to tell who are those "born inferior" (since she said 'you know how to tell') and ask her what would make 'tainted blood'. Be sure you don't ask it in a suspicious or alarmed way , or she might clam up , but ask in a casual & interested / curious way as a friend & see what she says.

Honestly, I wouldn't doubt it.

Tell her you hate the fact that millions of human beings were killed during WWII under Hitler's reign. And just start talking a lot about it... see her reaction.

i think it's time for you to drop her....your right....(hideous racist) round about fits her description....find a normal woman...because the longer you are with her, the more your going to find out about her, she could be a racist, seems so just by what you said in your post....
