Firefox contains tabbed browsing and inbuilt download manager but Internet explorer lacks this. But compared to firefox the bugs are very less in IE and the speed of both browsers are relatively same. The most important thing is some websites will not work in Firefox and firefox doesnt supports VBScript and all.You can add the tabbed browsing using some toolbars or plugins. Likewise you can use any other free download managers. I recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer as the Best Browser than Firefox and Opera.

I use both as there is the occasional site that firefox can't open but most of the time I will use firefox as I prefer the interface and it does seem faster.

These browsers are good in their own respect .........

IE was not that good untill recently........the latest version of IE i.e IE7 is by far the best version released by Microsoft under browsers. the reason is , according to benchmarks IE 7 opens up faster compared to mozilla or opera browsers and consumes less memory space compared to the others........the installation is also quite easy and it also has tabbed browsing , i.e u dont have to open another window to pull up a page.....u need to just open a new tab.......it also has RSS compatibility...

but by the end of the day, the obvious choice is mozilla........because mozilla is much more safer that IE and has all the features and more than that in it compared to IE. IE is not a safe option as virus writers are always coming up with new loopholes to attack the IE browser.......mozilla also has that problem but is comparitively safer.......and the best part is that, since mozilla is Open Source we get updates much quicker compared to IE

You are comparing apple with oranges. Internet Explorer 7 has copied all the features from Mozilla. Let it be adding extensions or bringing skins Mozilla was the first. Use Mozilla then only you can feel its excellency.
