Apart from 'put it in the bin' of course, I've had a bottle in my cupboard for ages now and was going to throw it out but thought someone might have some ideas for me?

I would just like to add to the person who told me to 'get a life' the peppermint cordial was kept for my mum visiting for her favourite drink of rum and pep. she died at christmas and I wanted to make use of the peppermint cordial, not because I'm a cheapskate and don't like throwing things our or because I don't 'have a life'. most other answers excellent and some great ideas

I would dilute it with hot water to make mint tea, which is very soothing for the digestive system, or I would pour a spoonful of it on vanilla ice-cream with crushed chocolate buttons to make a dessert with a difference. You could also add it to plain yogurt or fromage frais in the same way.
On the continent they add it to Perrier water to make what they call a "Diabolo menthe", or you can add it to crushed ice to make a really cooling drink in the summer.

If you like the taste of those Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies, you will get the maximum use out of this Peppermint Cordial when combining it with anything chocolate......

Hot chocolate (as suggested already) - but if you bake, add it to a chocolate cake or cookie recipe.

If you don't really bake, fake it.

Get a package of oreos and crush them in Ziploc bag or in a food processor til super fine. Press them in a pie tin to make a crust......drizzle the peppermint cordial over the pressed cookie crumbs. Get a carton of chocolate or vanilla ice cream - let it get a bit soft by letting it sit out, scoop some out in a bowl and pour in some of your Peppermint Cordial and mix it into the soft ice cream and put it in the oreo pie crust and put the whole thing back in the freezer. You can top the pie with whipped cream or chocolate sprinkles or leftover crushed oreo crumbs or shaved chocolate, nuts or whatever you want - even crushed peppermint candy when you are ready to serve it.

It makes for a fun, fancy, tipsy and yummy dessert!!! :)

Try and mix a little with yoghurt to use as an Indian style cool dip.

add a small amount to some vinegar, salt and olive oil to make a marinade for lamb.....

or... mix some with some soft vanilla ice cream. Cool some a chocolate bar in the fridge and use a cheese grater to flake some on to the top of your ice cream for some homemade mint choc chip..

Is that the same as peppermint flavored syrup? If so, you can use it in hot chocolate, and make a peppermint hot chocolate. I do it all the time! Same thing if you make mochas at home...peppermint mocha!

Its good for indigestion, or you could buy a bottle of rum and put them both together and you have rum and pep,or if they don't appeal to you,you could use it as a mouthwash.

Add it to hot chocolate, vodka and lemonade or rum (as everyone else is suggesting!) Add it to a big bowl of Punch in the summer too....

lucky you! lots of uses for it, it is natures antacid so for heartburn/indigestion take a few sips neat, mix with crushed ice and whiskey for a great pep mac, put a few drops with baby oil in the bath- good for skin and smells great too, if yours still has a strong smell why not soak sheets of your favourite paper in it, allow to dry, then line your clothes drawers- no moths will bother you.
