I myself have never experienced the "latin flu", but I do tend to get yellow fever quite often. Just because I really find asian women attractive doesn't mean the next guy will agree with me. Asian, Latin, french... I think most guys have some type of "exotic" look they really get fired up over when you're talking about women. The race/ethnicity just depends on who you ask.

Of course it's normal- when people are hot- they're just HOT! It's also OK to be hard and ready as long as you're not always standing at attention! That's a turn off- sometimes! :)
