you might want to try doing it every other day or so, everyday will result in damage and breakage, but keep using the serum, one product that is really good is biosilk and also biolage smoothing shampoo and conditioner

There is always damage when heated styling products are involved reguardless if you use a serum, that is only helps it from damaging as much as it would by not using nothing at all, however by using a serum you are creating build up. There is a shampoo that is good to use once a week put out by Neutragena. It helps wash away build up and adds vitamins to your hair that styling products and flat irons take away.

Using a Serum can reduce the damage, but since you do it every day, it still dries the follicles out and they can snap easier. That's what causes split ends. it also depends on the straightener, cause most use heat and kill your hair, but there are some kinds that use steam which doesn't damage your hair, but repairs it. Also try to shorten your straightning uses, just to be safe

The serum will minimize the damage, but heat will definitely damage your hair regardless!

protecting your hair is better then not. but damage can still be done. you should try not to straighten it as much. i have a friend who done the same thing then after a while her hair started looking like a birds nest without starightening it.
