Unfortunately and as usual, people give you their opinions on everything else but the question.
You could be an @ss and abandon the man you obviously love like others have suggested or weather it out with him. Anyone can pick up bags and scram but if it's true love, you'll wait. I'm sure he'd appreciate it. Each case has different rulings but b/c he was just an accessory he should be eligible for parole in 2 years if he shows good behavior.
It should also be made clear at his sentencing.
Sorry to hear it.

Whether a state or federal conviction the rules of the "sentencing guidelines" generally allow for a percentage of time served before parole and probation is considered.
As you can see from all the other responses...I'd also suggest you find yourself a GOOD man who doesn't need to infringe and prey upon others to get what he wants. My reasoning for this statement is simply this....If he were able to make mature decisions in life and not bow to the whims of his so-called friends who put him in the position of being an accessory to robbery...then he'd not be in jail now. Is this the kind of "decision maker" you want in your life? Then again...maybe this will teach him to grow up. None the less...he's "marked" for life in the criminal justice system.
Surely there are better "fish in the sea" to select as your partner in life!
Best wishes!

It truly depends on your local state laws and the sentencing guidelines he was given by the judge. A judge determines when he is eligible for parole, so it is possible he is eligible in two years.
Most states make inmates serve at least 2/3rds of their sentence.

Commence Dumpage!! Guys like this cannot stay out of jail for any length of time, so it doesnt matter when his parole will be. He will only be out for a short time then he will do something and get hauled away again.
You dont have time to waste on this loser, and you probably have any number of other guys who will treat you as you should be treated and be able to stay out of jail. DOnt overlook them because you are wasting time with this project boyfriend. Stay away from fixer-uppers! (this does NOT apply to houses!)

I think he has to spend 4 years in prison and then have the chance for parole. It is very different for each state.

In California, he could be released now. We have more criminals than space, so they just let them do a coule of days and push him out. This is one of the crimes that they are most likel to do this.
I would move before the prison let him out and find someone better. Prison change a person, although he probably wasn't the best to start with.
