Elders don't just wear "secret underwear" any one who gets endowed in the temple does, most people do this when they get married or go on a mission. Goofy Mormon rituals?
Always having jello at dinners. I find Halloween kind of goofy when we take our kids to church and everyone sets up a candy stand behind one of the doors and the kids walk through the hallways saying trick or treat at each door they come across. That is pretty goofy to me. Obviously some people might find getting married in the the temple to be goofy. They might find performing baptisms for the dead also goofy. Also it is goofy that some missionaries have to ride bikes in the snow...

Depends who you ask. People that are not Mormons and do not understand the Mormon religion think they are all goofy. People that are Mormons or understand the Mormon religion do not think any of them are goofy.
I don't consider basketball a ritual.
I also think calling another person's religion goofy is not polite.

Goofy mormon rituals:
Considering every other religion bases their beliefs off of a system where the preacher is getting rich off the 'believers,' then the only crazy mormon ritual I can think of is being the only one's that do things right.
Freebird you are wrong.

What, you mean like church basketball? Because all the official ones aren't the least bit goofy.
Edit: Only making a joke, here. I was just trying to point out that our rituals are not "goofy", but quite sacred, instead.

The Temple Endowment. Pretty much you role play with a bunch of temple workers, they retell the alleged creation story and eventually you learn your secret name and the secret handshakes that are needed to get into heaven. Strange right? I will never forget "The tokens".
