When someone is in public, say displaying the top half of their pubes, and they say if you don't like it don't look what do you think?

I didn't just mean pubes. It could be anything, making out in public, loud profanity...anything that people definitly have the right to do, but maybe should consider where they are doing it or how loudly or the company they are in. I asked because I did see the guy w/ the pubes and my major problem is that his pubes are at the same level as my 3 year olds eyes.

I think that is gross and they they have no respect for themselves or anyone else and are possibly trying to get attention. Just turn the other cheek.

I have to agree with Kibb21 here. As these behaviors, as horrid as they may be, are not illegal, there is not much you can do other than explain to your children that sort of behavior is simply not socially acceptable. You can explain to them that we all have to live in this world together and we each have a social responsiblity to behave with dignity and respect to ourselves and others around us. Explain that there are reallly sad people in this world who did not have parents to teach them what is socially acceptable behavior and what is not. Due to their lack of ability to be socially acceptable they offend people and due to this offensive behavior their lives are much less full and happy. When we engage in socially reprehensible behavior we may shock people but we are isolating ourselves from developing good freindships which are healthy and supportive. People who intentionally go about offensing others in society pay a dear price for their rudeness and vulgarity. Often people such as this limit themselves to others who also behave in such deplorable manners and as such limit their lives dramatically. They would be tossed out of most decent establishments which reserve the right to refuse service.

Now, there are people who are not aware their underwear is showing, or that tolite paper is stuck to their shoe, or that their breasts are showing threw their blouses when the light hits it, or other simular items, such as a bugger in their nose, or food in their teeth. In these situations it IS socially acceptable to try to take the person aside and tell gently tell them what is happening. I know I would want to know these things and would appreciate being told so I could fix the problem.

This is a great question and I thank you for asking it. I wish you a great day and all the blessings life can offer.

Well really you can't do much about people because they just are the way they are but just make sure that you rase your child to know that this isn't appropriate behavior in puplic and maybe one day we will have respect for each other again.

If it is really hanging out, then I agree with you, and if he's *behaving* belligerent too, but if it's just looking sloppy then I would indeed look the other way. As long as private parts are covered it should be everyone's own choice how they are dressed, if not there are decency laws for that.
