Personally agaisnt the COT.. since all COT cars are designed from a single template, it takes the differences out of the aero. It may be designed for increased safety, but I'm really not looking forward to watching COTs run full time in 2009. Might as well watch IROC.

As for Toyota, they'll struggle. Success in the CTS doesn't equal success in the NEXTEL Cup.

i am not sure that i understand ur question,but..........as of bristol all the cars will be on an even playing field.ford, dodge, chevy, toyota will all be COT.
i dont believe one make will be any better than the other.all four makes have had the same amount of time prepare with the COT.
of course this is not a full time thing yet.they will not be running the COT full time until 2009 i believe.
but look for the toyotas to compete with the other 3 makes when the COT is on the track.

I know I am going to anger a lot of other diehard NASCAR fans in saying this, but I like the CoT. Yes, it takes away from the "Stock" aspect of the car, but really, what part of those machines is stock anymore anyway? The logos are, but that's it. Motors, frames, bodys, even the fuel used, is all super specialised to just NASCAR. It really isn't Stock Car racing anymore.

But as I was saying, I like the CoT, simply for the safety factors. If the CoT can help reduce the number of injuries, then it was worth the R&D spent to develop and produce it.

As for the Toyota's in NASCAR, again, I may anger some people, but I like the fact they got involved in Cup. They've been in the CTS for years, so it was only natural for them to move up to Cup. Now, if Beemer were to try and develop a Cup team............No, lets not jinx it. The Euro-Peons can stick to thier rally and F1 crap, as far as I'm concerned lol.

Toyota needs to pack their bags and GO! How fair is it that they get to use their new motor technology (and possible fuel saving secrets...hellooooo Prius!), when the big 3 are not allowed new technology and are basically using the same engines they were running back in the day. How fair is that? It's bad enough that Toyota dominates the Truck series..........

I don't like the COT. It makes NASCAR too much like Indy and takes away the "stock" part of stock car racing.
