One reason you could be feeling depressed is BECAUSE of the diet pills. They have severe side effects that people under estimate and with prolonged use like you have been doing it can really affect you mentally. You need to be eating less than 2,000 calories a day. Read up on your personal nutritional needs (by personal I mean your age, height, and weight.)
I would recommend to stop taking the diet pills immediately. You need to be exercising (cardio) for ATLEAST 45 minutes (to MAX an hour - because it is not good to do more than 1 hour of cardio per day) and do this atleast 4-5 times per week.
You have to believe in yourself because losing weight takes a mental toll on you as well. Exercising makes you feel better about yourself and putting less fat and sugar into your body will benefit you most definitely.
Good luck, feel better and take care of yourself!

Hmm, do you look at your calorie intake.
A lot of people don't realize that calories are what kills you, and foods that seem healthy are loaded with calories. Especially if you eat out. Even a simple sandwich can have your recommended calorie intake for an entire day. It's scary, right?
Most average women need about 2,000 - 2,500 calories a day. Google calorie calculator, and you'll be able to find out how much calories you need to eat per day to lose a healthy 1-2 pounds per week.
If that doesn't help, I would suggest seeing a nutritionist or talking to your doctor. There might be an underlying cause that you weren't aware of. Thyroid problems can prevent people from losing weight.
I hope that helps! Good luck :)

You don't need those pills, but regular exercise and small meals will help you get there. I lost 15 pounds 2 years ago and I've kept it off since.
First of all, I cut my meal portions dramatically. It was tough at first, I was hungry a lot, but soon your stomach shrinks to a normal size and you don't miss large meals. I also cut out soda and fruit juice entirely, and I switched to 8 glasses of water a day.
Then I also changed my exercise regime. I used to run all the time, but that builds up a heavy muscle mass, so I switched to walking. When I stopped running, I lost 10 pounds right off the bat.Now I walk at a brisk pace (about 3.5 mph on a treadmill) 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes each time.
I also do not eat meat of any kind, and I recommend this not only as a very healthy diet choice but also a great LIFE choice! =)
Keep up the good work, and keep your head high.
Best of luck to you.

you're in the healthy weight range! i'd do just about anything to weigh as little as you (i'm the same age & ht.)
and if you want to lose a few pounds (if you have a light frame) you should exercise up to an hour a day, 5+ days a week. and also, a high protein diet with only complex carbs will help. and don't eat too little, it will slow your metabolism down cuz it thinks you're starving. you can't go wrong eating lots of veggies and lean meats.
btw- i feel your pain about the time to exercise, i work 10 hr days AND commute to work. but i find that making the time for exercising will help me feel less stressed and more energetic!! focus on how healthy you feel, not what the scale says!

You really should not rely on diet pills for weight loss. And 5'8", 155lbs sounds just about perfect to me. You might want to try some weight training with your cardio to shape and define muscle groups, which will help you appear more toned and less 'fatty'.
Also, some diet pills can enhance/cause depression.

I totally agree with a cleanse, it looks like Lisa M wants to sell her cleanse and if it not available in health food stores but through an independant dealer, I will just not buy it! If it is that miracoulus then why can it not be sold in a health food store, seems like a money grabbing sceem to me. However, go to a health food strore and do a cleanse, the have seven day, ten day and 40 day cleanses, follow those instructions and you will lose weight. In the meantime, cut out salt, sugar, anything with flour and that includes pasta, use lots of herbs, Garlic and pepper to make veggies etc, palatable ( I am on my fourth day of a cleanse and today I actually crave a bit of salt) drink a glass of water with half a lemon when you get up, drink a glass of water with your breakfast preferably oatmeal and fruit and 6 nuts. Have a glass of water midmorning with another piece of fruit, for lunch have chicken ( a size the palm of your hand) 1 1/2 cup of verggies with a teaspoon of butter, Celery, tomato with a glass of water in the afternoon and repeat your lunch, replace your chicken with turkey, beef or fish. before 7 pm. with a glass of water and if you get hungry later eat 8 almonds, raw, all the nuts need to be eaten raw and no peanuts. You can have 1 cup of coffee, 3 cups of green tea, herbal teas and mineral water are unlimited.
You will lose weight. Should you get constipated, take a stool softerner.

You are eating too many calories if you aren't losing weight when you exercise. Increase your exercise, decrease your calories, then you will lose weight. Diet pills are dangerous and have killed many people.

First go to your doctor and have blood work done. Tell them your concerns and have them check your thyroid hormone level, among other thing.
If everything is as it should be, try eating more often. 5-6 small meals a day (a handful of nuts, a yogurt, a piece of fruit, salad, etc) will boost your metabolism.

You work 9 hours a day and he's telling you to work out for him? Dump the husband, ditch the diet and be yourself with somebody who appreciates you for who you are. There are plenty of guys out there who find large women beautiful; find them. Learn to love yourself and don't ever change a single thing for anybody else.
