Commit to time with your child and make your love interest accommodate you. If you want the relationship to end, show no interest.
If you'd like it to slow down, just let her know what you'll be doing in your life and have her accommodate you. Stop trying to make everyone happy. You're the one important here.

well if you like the girl so much why are you trying to end it? try doing things with your daughter and the girl at the same time. like going to the park or zoo, going to get ice cream, McDonald's lol. whatever, but bring it up in conversation (jokingly) that you don't want another munchkin running around any time soon. If she laughs you may have broken into the conversation on a light note, that way you can tell her that you like her to death, but you want to make sure everything in your life is situated before you start making major life changing decisions, such as being in a full time, live together, picking out dresses, type of relationship. That leaves things open for a long future together, but not to personal. If she doesn't laugh, you're screwed, you're just going to have to come out and honestly tell her you think things are moving to fast and that you like her and want to be with her, but you don't want to be traped in something you can't handle, after all, you have a baby to think about (don't leave the baby part out) :) hope things go well for you. have a good day!

I'm pretty sure this girl knows a little back ground with the divorce situation. I would just tell her in advance that we need to talk and let's do it over dinner. Once you guys meet up just be a man about it and tell her how you feel about her, and than tell her you feel things are moving way to fast and you didn't except things to happen so quickly. Explain to her that you want this divorce to be easy as possible and you want to spend more time with your child that's 18 months old. Tell her I'm not saying that your keeping me away from spending time with my child, it's just that I feel the need to spend all my time with you in which I feel like am neglecting my child. I guess you can also tell her you don't want to involve her in your divorce and once everything is over as far as your divorce maybe you can hook back up with her if it's meant to be. Everybody feel like they really like somebody in the beginning of a relationship, but is this the girl you want in your daughter's life that's the next question. Good luck with you divorce and best wishes to whatever decision you make.

Are you sure you want to end it if you like her all that much.Fri st have you tried talking to her tell her how important your child is to you and she Reilly needs you alto . tell her your feelings for her also but you feel things are going to fast.Your just coming out of a relationship and you need time to put things in order in your life. And your daughters life because she is the most important person right now dint you think. you have to sit this woman down and let her know how it is. And if she cannot give you the time and space you need you will have to stop seeing her if she cares for you she will back off maybe even try to help you.Just be honest with her if she is a woman she will understand if she is a girl good luck.Just be open with her.

OK, 1. Why dump her if you still have feelings for her? Instead you should sit down with her and talk to her about how you feel. Tell her that you really like her but you want to slow down your relationship because you feel overwhelmed with how fast its going. 2. You can still spend time with your little girl while your dating someone else. 3. If you do end up breaking up with her, no matter how nice you are with the whole think your going to hurt her heart, there's no doubt about that. 4. Don't make a mistake that your going to regret, it's of course your choice, no one can tell you what to do. I hope it works out, no matter what you choose to do. Good Luck.

This shouldn't be hard for you to balance.

The girl you're dating was once a little girl too and should remember how much they needed their parent (s). Just let her know you're concerned you're not giving enough time to your daughter and you need to be able to spend more time with her. That you care for her, but your daughter needs more of your time.

Now...you gotta be able to bend here a little...with the larger amount of time you want with your daughter, make sure you invite your girlfriend in on occasion - NOT EVERY TIME THOUGH.

But! If she takes you asking for more time with your little girl, then...well...she has some issues she needs to deal with because anyone should respect that..

And...well...it might be nice to have a woman around to help with an 18 month old.. :) They aren't that easy to deal with!

Tell her exactly what you said here. You are just out of a marriage and you feel that you are not ready for a serious relationship yet. You also need to tell her that, right now, in your life, your daughter needs to come first.
You will probably hurt her feelings regardless of what you say and how nice you say it, but you need to focus on you. If she is a good person, she will give you the space you need right now. If she flips out at you, then you will know her true colors.

Sit her down and discuss the problem with her. Let her know that you feel that you got into the relationship to fast and would like to slow things down a bit. Explain to her that you have a child that needs your love, attention, and support and that you would like her to understand. If she can't, then let her go until you are ready to deal with another relationship that will someday involve having your child as part of that relationship.

Tell her that she is a wonderful woman and that you are very attracted to her but that you really aren't ready for the kind of commitment that she deserves. Tell her that you need time to resolve the situation with (and your feelings for) your wife and get squared with yourself before you can be truly available to her. Depending on how you feel about it, you could give her the option to wait until you're ready, or just ask her to move on in a regretful but respectful "breakup". You don't want her to just be the rebound girl, but the timing is challenging. Good luck.

Just simply state what you stated here...that you feel you are moving too fast into another relationship and you need to slow things dow..you are not ready for another commitment and you also want and need to spend more time with your daughter. If the woman you are seeing now cannot understand tell her goodbye
