They should of dropped already, and if they haven't yet they probably never will. You should be able to feel the testicles at about 8 weeks, and defiantly by 12 weeks. I currently have a 4 month old male, and you can feel and see his testicles easily and have been able to for about 2 months. If your dog's testicles have not dropped he has to be neutered. Undecended testicles will almost always become cancerous.

If you purchased the dog from a breeder I would contact them. They should warranty a dog that never dropped the testicles, especially because it costs more to neuter them when they are not in the scrotum (it costs about the same as spay on a comparably sized dog).

His balls should have dropped by now. I have a year old border collie and at 3 months only one of his had dropped. Our vet advised that we would have to get him neutered if the other didn't drop as this runs a higher risk of cancer as the dog gets older. Luckily both of his are now there and have been from about 5ish months.

Hope everything goes ok but please go see a vet.

They should have done by now. You definately need to get him castrated, as the balls have remained either in the groin or the abdomen. This is called cryptorchidism. The balls need to be removed if they are retained, as they could turn cancerous later on, as they are kept at a higher temperature in the body, or the groin. This would cost you extra, but is worthwhile, as your dog's health will not then be at risk. You also should not breed from him, if he has this problem. Go to your vet and get him booked in

If they haven't by 6 months, there is something wrong. Have a vet check to see if there is a hole for them to drop down through. If there is any cord-tendon tangling up there, the longer you wait the worse it gets.

They should be visable by now - if not your vet needs to have a lok as there will be a medical problem and they may need to be removed to prevent cancer etc.

They should have dropped by now. You will probably have to pay extra for his neutering as the procedure is harder when they haven't dropped.
