Yes. Some females come into heat and keep themself so clean that you never see that they are bleeding, and some females just don't hardly bleed. There are also silent heats, where they do not bleed at all, but they are fairly uncommon.

Yes, due to the fact that you may actually miss the signs she is in heat. Please go get her fixed so you don' have any unwanted puppies.
