Use the pink Sunsilk leave-in conditioner. It's called Hydra TLC 24/7 Creme. It works as a leave-in conditioner and gel. It smells good and leaves your hair soft, and full. You can also get a free sample from their website:

I have only tried the pink one - but the yellow (anti-flat) or green (de-frizz) might work better for you.

I used to have thick but fine hair so I know where you're coming from.
For the static, you can run a dryer sheet over your hair and comb. Use a wide tooth comb with a natural bristle brush or an anti-static vent brush.
As for the tangles, try a mild shampoo like baby shampoo and follow up with a light conditioner. (Pantene for regular hair or Aveda All Sensitive conditioner) If you are reluctant to use a rinse out conditioner, try a spray conditioner. (Redken makes good ones. Infusium 23 has good reviews.) They are usually meant to be left in, but you can rinse them out if you still feel they are too heavy. You'll still get some benefit from it.
The other product I suggest is Kiehl's Silk Groom or a drop of jojoba oil. Use either one very sparingly over your outer layers and ends. (Desert Essence Jojoba Oil is available at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.)
I like these products because they make my hair feel smooth and wash out easily.

I've been using an Aussie product this winter that has really helped me and I have similar hair. It's a combo mouse and leave in conditioner called Dual Personality. I actually wait until my hair is about half dry so it's easier just to get on midway to the ends. If you keep it off your roots your hair won't get limp at all. Also a fine mist of hairspray when you are done styling will help keep the static at bay.

Hair conditioners are good but only if u apply it away from ur scalp coz that ( for me ) causes limp hair.I use L'occitane's Olive Paste Hair Mask to make my hair more silky soft minus the tangles.Use it for about 1yr now,its more manageble n i dont have to worry bout my fingers gettin stuck to my tangled hair when i brush it away from my face.I also tried Pantene's leave on conditioner( in a greenish bottle ).That is rather good too.Just apply it after u shampoo ur hair towel dried. No more tangles! Good Luck!

subject with a stable detangling conditioner. pass with a rapidly sort. in case you like long hair then by utilising all potential keep it long in simple terms have a twig bottle of Johnsons not extra Tangles, Infusium leave in conditioner, or the different leave in detangling conditioner. What works nicely for one individual could no longer artwork for yet another, so which you are going to be able to could desire to attempt some products till you stumble on what works precise for you. My suggestion is notwithstanding you purchase to objective purchase the smallest field you will discover. additionally don't be afraid to invite for strategies on products once you pass on your interior of sight elegance furnish keep. There are new products out each and all of the time.
