I have to translate the italian expression : "Servizio al tavolo". Literally: servizio = service ; tavolo= table
It means that the waiter brings you the food you ordered to your table. Do you say "table service" to mean that?

I have never heard a specific expression in English to mean that exact thing, although I don't work in restaurant circles. I assume you are talking about a technical expression used among restaurant people. However, wikipedia has the following reference:

Here, "table service" is contrasted with other ways one can get the food - such as going to a counter to get the plate, or a "buffet" where they have prepared food in communal containers and you can eat as much as you want.

well, there's no English expression to match the "servizio a tavolo" but the very thing about having a waiter means implicitly that the food is brought you your table. In opposition, there's the expression self serve, or free bar, or self help. I think that the best way to translate that would be that you are "waiting on your customers" which is the same thing. The other one would be "full service" or 'customer service' In conversation you can mention to the customer that you are waiting on them or that you will bring their order to their table. If you want to advertize and let people know that you provide 'table service', you just need to mention that you have 'waiting service available' or something like that, in case you actually provide both. Otherwisem sustomers will figure it out, and can be just informed by word of mouth that you will be waiting on them... I hope that helps.

Just say "may we have our food ?" but I have never heard anyone say that. They will bring you your food when it is ready ! Or do you mean when you 1st come into a restaurant ? Then you just say " a Table for 2" or how many are in your party
