Outlook is easy. On BOTH computers, in the properties of the mail account, tell it to keep a copy of your messages on the server. This way, any messages you've received (unless you've deleted them), your home computer will pull down the next time it connects.

Word and Excel is a little tricky. You've got a few options.

1) Buy a USB Thumb Drive and save everything to it and just keep it with you when you go to/from work.

2) Use your Yahoo Briefcase (http://briefcase.yahoo.com) or some other place online to store your files. This will give you access to them from anywhere you have Internet access.

3) Have your employer allow you to VPN in to work and access your files on your machine and/or network drive.

Hope this helps...

For the files, my solution has been to use a Cruzer "thumb drive" with its PocketCache software. It takes a snapshot backup of a folder (or restores a folder), updating only the changed files, so that you can sync files with same-named folders between two computers. For contacts and appintments, I keep mine online, so's I don't have to keep them in sync.
