I just got in contact with a man I was in love with some years ago. The situation wasn't right at the time so we had to break it off. He called me once then I tried calling him and couldn't reach him. Why would he e-mail me instead of calling me? Does he not want to see eager or do you think he is uninterested in me? Or is he afraid to talk to me?

I have a difficult time putting words together when i talk, i sound like a babbling buffoon. I find putting the words down in writing much easier. However, I have had several instances where I caused a woman to "fall in love" with my words. I'm no idiot, just not capable of talking out loud in a way that makes sense. It is possible you make your former love speechless with your intense beauty, and he really wants to tell you his feelings for you.

at present i think of that an e mail is the closest you will get to a telephone extensive type. you're nevertheless shifting into touch, the only distinction is the waiting for a reaction (no instantaneous like a telephone call if she possibilities up) and no own touch (listening to the voice on the different end). yet e mail does supply you of undertaking to think of roughly what you will say and re-do something till now you deliver it, that could supply you greater useful opportunities as quickly as you get in touch.

You said that he called you once, however when you called back you couldn't reach him. Perhaps, in his eyes it seems as though you never returned his call. I don't think he is uninterested or afraid to talk to you. I think the opposite is true. After all he did call you once! I'm thinking that he does not understand why he never heard from you after he initally called. In his eyes he called once and does not want to nag you with calls if you're uninterested. However, he wants to make sure you received his messages and really don't want to talk to him before he lets it go. So he's emailing you to see if there's some other reason he has not heard from you. I'm willing to bet that if you don't respond to his email you'll never hear from him again.

I would say he's just nervous. It's much easier to type than to talk.

well, when I do this, its usually cause I'm shy and its easier to talk by email than by phone, so maybe he's just shy

It's obvious he doesn't want to talk. There's no emotion involved when you email someone.
