One important point! That god guy is conceited, he confesses, you should not pray to other gods, For I am a jealous God!
At least he is truthful! I would have thought only "lowly" humans could give in to emotions like hatred and jealousy.
I for one, refuse to be blackmailed into submission. I have been allowed a choice, and will make it myself , provided his followers don't force meto choose him.

I can relate your questions a little with my questions before, and even still sometimes. I'm not going to refer to the bible, not the torah nor the holy q'ran, since you are asking it this way and actually(I prefer answering question by my own not with references). I thought many times of how can God punish people like that and still be good, the way I answered it myself was...He gave us the right to choose, even though He knows what will happen, we are still the ones to choose, He gave us good and bad (Why will He give us bad options?) to test or faith and to see if we will rather follow what He has asked us to, or to follow what we want or our desires. Why is there hell and why does He allow the devil to tempt us?, Why would you follow someone who has not created you rather than the one who gave you life?, he is giving you the choice right here, and there are many who does not appreciate what He give us, and the best punishment will be that, why? because with Him we do not need anything, why should we go for something else, when you tell a child not to touch something because they can hurt themself and they still do it, don't you gound them for their own good?. Why does he allow the devil to tempt us? because He wants to see your choices. Was Virgin Mary a virgin? this question I'll answer it touching 2 different religions, for chrisrians, catholics and some other religions, Jesus is the son of God, if this was the case, do you think God will send His son to come out of a woman who has been touched before? I think He wouldn't, not to say that us women who are not virgin anymore are bad, but please, a little more respect, take this from a woman!. As for muslims, Jesus is a prophet, that God send that way to prove that he can do anything, that nothing is impossible to him, so would you have believe that Jesus was just place inside the Virgin Mary just like that if she was not a virgin, I think many would have doubt it, many would of thougth that Jesus was from her previouse partner. And eternity, I do not see it that way, when you get there you will not mind because all the blessings you will be receiving you wont care about how long it is. My answer is long and you should mind, but not eternity!

I can understand your frustration and lack of faith in the Bible. Many vicious acts have been commited in the name of the Holy Scriptures. But is that mans fault or the Bible's? There are so many opposing views and different beliefs that have stemmed from the use of the scriptures. My question to you is have you ever taken the time to actually read and research the Bible? And if the answer is no how can you be so quick to judge a book you yourself have not even read? Does it not make sense that a loving God would give mankind a manual or refrence as to what his purpose and expectations are? Wouldn't this "book" stand out from all others and have divine protection from its writer? Do loving parents leave their beloved children to fend for themselves and not offer guidance?
Like you I believe that our creator is a loving God who wishes none to suffer. I do not believe in hell as a fiery place of torment but the common grave of mankind. Jesus himself was in hell for 3 days before his resurrection. Job when suffering from numerous ailments and losing all those he loved begged to be protected in hell. Would he really ask to go to such a place where his suffering would be worse let alone be protected there? The Bible also warns about being mislead by the doctrines of men. I believe those refrences you are making are the doctrines of men and not God and are misinterrupted from the Bible.
Mary went on to have more children with Joseph after the virgin birth of Jesus so no she was no longer a virgin. At the time she was pregnant with Jesus she was. Is that so impossible to think that God the creator and architect of the universe could not cause a virgin to become pregnant?
I know you've asked us not to use the Bible as a point of reference but as a Bible student that is impossible. As stated in the first paragraph I do the believe the Bible was written by God through the use of man.

You state that you do not believe in the Bible, that is the only way I can dispute your question.
The Bible is the book of truth that contains all the answers that we need to have a fullfilling life. It does not say that you will go to hell if you do not believe in Jesus Christ. Have you ever said, "Oh MY GOD", " JESUS", or " FOR CHRIST SAKE" when you were in a tight situation and needed help? If you have, then you do believe he is real! AND further more, HE heard your plea for help too. All of your questions have an answer, but you are too confused to search for the answers.
I can say this to you. I have asked Jesus to come into my heart and guide me through this temptation filled life of mine. He has answered every prayer in some way. Either by sending me the blessing of a job, a friend, my Church, or even this question!!!!!! I am a living testament to the power of Jesus Christ. I am now reading the Bible, after not doing so for many many years of living. I am studying HIS word, some of which was seen by the writers in the Old Testament. The more I learn, the more I am convinced that It Is Real.
Pick up the BOOK OF LIFE, and give it a real chance. You will see a change in your ways and your thinking. HE is waiting for you. He has an emense amount of Blessing waiting for you, just for the asking.
I thank you for the chance to address this question, and without quoting the BIBLE. Niki <><

Yes Mary was a virgin when she was with Jesus. Scripture says so.
Gullible I am not my friend. I am living proof that God is not that mean and nasty but rather loving and kind and patient with all of us. He gave us free will and the option to choose either a blessing or a curse daily. If we make the choice to follow Christ, then we will know what temptation is. Why? Our "eyes" will be opened to the evil that is Satan. We will then see the wrong that is going on in the world that we were a part of at one time.
The miracles have not stopped at all. People every day are healed in ways that can only be explained by a miracle. God still heals and delivers and sets free people from all manner of afflictions and diseases and addictions.
I could go on for hours on those questions but for the sake of you and others I won't. All I will say is this. If you are going to attempt to slam God and His word, you should at least know what you are talking about. Open the Bible and read it. Who knows... you may just learn something.

What other religions beside Christianity use the current Bible as it's text?
The Bhagavad-Gita does not describe God as a tyrant, nor does He condemn His own creation to everlasting torment. Nor does God stipulate the Jesus Christ is the one and only path to salvation. There are millions of individuals, and there are millions of paths. According to Bhagavad-Gita, everyone comes to God, without exception. In their own time, and in their own way. Some go to God willingly, and some go to God after first satisfying all of their own desires, and suffering the consequences of their choices. In no case does God destroy a soul. The soul is eternal, and cannot be destroyed, because it is part and parcel of God, and God cannot be destroyed.

I'll answer even though I'll probably get runned down again. oh well, sue me. When man sinned God had to punish them, He said He would when He told them not to eat of that tree. When they were punished He had to send His Son to die because He is the only One who is perfect and could cover the cost of our sins. After He died, He rose again, and will one day come back to get all the Christians (dead and alive) when He does all those who don't believe will be left here on earth, and during that time of the Tribulation only a few thousand will be saved. When God fights Satan in the ultimate battle (God'll win), all those who weren't saved will go to Hell. You have to accept God in order to go to heaven, because man sinned, we're not perfect. God is not a 'tyrant' but He is just. He is loving, we see that when He died for us, and forgives us when we sin. If He didn't punish us by not letting unbelievers go into heaven, then that wouldn't make no sense. How do we learn without consequences? That's why parents spank children right? Yes Mary really was a virgin. That's part of the miracle of Christ being born. I also thing it's really sad that you don't believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Hopefully one day you'll learn and accept that.

You will never get an answer from people who believe what you are questioning. You ask logical well thought out questions and all they will do is ridicule and spout bible verses at you because none A.) know the answer, B.) care or C.) will take the time to really think about it. It's easier for them to hate and condemn and tell you that God tells them it's OK to be hateful.
personally jut wanted to tell you, i have wondered about a lot of the things you have asked for years and every time i ask anyone any of this kinds of questions - i pretty much know i will not get a direct answer. But it's fun to watch them get all riled up and start quoting scripture that even they don't really understand.

The bible says "my ways are not your ways"
So how do you determine what's true with your god?
Do you go by your feelings?
Hell is just a place where God isn't. God is very polite and doesn't force anyone to go to heaven.
Maybe God wants to know those who will truly be a follower of him by allowing Satan to dwell here with us.
Why couldn't Mary be a virgin if God can make us out of dust and make the universe? He can produce a baby from a virgin I'd say.
Did you know there are over 300 prophecies of Jesus written in the old test that have come true? This is the main reason we should believe the bible! It's historical, it accurate and hundreds of prophecies have come to pass.

...I will try and answer 1 or 2 questions here, since you ask so many.
...God is loving, holy, is no tyrant, and is just - you must understand this, that evil will and must be confined - the lake of fire (Hell) was originally prepared for the Devil and his angels, but that is the destination of all unbelievers.
...God can only have fellowship with perfect individuals, which counts us out - there is none righteous, no not one. God sets the rules and the standard for His creatures.
...In His mercy and grace, He set Jesus to die in our place; One who lived a perfect life took punishment for our sins. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. If we trust in Christ we get His righteousness put to our account; undeserved, most definitely, but by God's marvelous grace.
...Jesus has bought a full salvation - each of us must believe on (trust in) Him personally.
...The phrase "accept Jesus in your heart" is commonly used, but not by me. The Bible most often uses the word "believe" and "faith". Jesus said, "He who believes on Me has everlasting life."
...Most people would deny a miracle if they saw one - they don't necessarily generate faith, and quite often do not.
...Miracles are still occurring, most specifically, the miracle of salvation. To translate one from sure Hell to certain Heaven, and into a relationship with God - that is something. -
...I pray that you will consider these things, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
...Whosoever will, may come.
