All of Velocity new amps are class A/B. Are they suitable for subs? Aren't they suppose to produce class D monoblock amps for subs? And the CLass A/B velocity amps are so high wattage, they can't be meant for component speakers.

Classes of amplifiers boils down to efficiency. Class D is more efficient than A/B.

You can use either D or A/B for subs.

Class when refers to Amplifiers refers to distortion. Class D amps produce more distortion but are quite adequate to drive low frequencies, because, you can hear the distortion.
Class A would be unnecessary to drive subwoofers.
