To ultimately become a true saint in the family of God by living according to His word His will and His ways. To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the rest of the world so that they may to have a chance at becoming true children and saints in the family of God. God and His Holy Spirit (His Spoken Word; the creator) are a family of two. The reason why God created man in their image is to start a family to inhabit the earth. A family that has cognitive reasoning, the ability to create things and a soul so that we may have a relationship with our Father while we are still in our physical bodies. All these traits that we have are the same traits of God the Father in heaven. We are just like our Father, like "little gods" in human form that create things only on a much smaller scale. Eventually, at the end of the Millennial reign of the government of Christ in the Kingdom of God on earth, most of humanity will come to know Christ Jesus and be accepted into the family of God to become joint heirs with Jesus Christ and inherit the Kingdom of God. The earth will give birth to new creations of God as we will all be changed (born again) from our physical bodies into new glorified spirit being bodies and become true children in the family of God. All of Gods saints will inherit the vast universe to fill the galaxies in space that lie in wait for us. We will all be in the loving family of God for eternity.

You are actually asking two different questions:

1. What is the purpose of life?
2. What is the meaning of life?

By way of example -- if I hold up an empty water balloon and ask you what it's purpose is, the most basic answer is 'water transportation via aerial mode.' That's all the purpose is -- it is a reason for existing. If it is sitting on a shelf in a store, it has that purpose, if it's in my hand filled and ready to go, it has that purpose.

Meaning, however, is something that is ascribed to an object. I fill such a balloon with water so that I can tag my mother during the next family reunion summer-fun party. That is now its meaning -- joy and playfulness. It did not have that meaning on the store shelf. There, at the store, its meaning was profit -- the owner of the store hoped someone would buy it and thus the owner would make profit off it.

So to go back to your questions -- what is the purpose of life? It has none. To have a purpose means that an intelligent being must have created it. Purpose is an intended direction, a best-suited direction, and life has no creator nor an intended direction. Life is inherantly purposeless.

What is the meaning of life? Because we are self-aware, even in acknowledging the purposelessness of life, we can ascribe a meaning to it. For many people, this meaning is little more than that they hope to live day by day. Some people make religion their meaning, others knowledge, others intentionally make hate or cruelty their meaning -- no one said all meaning has to be good. It just gives us a reason to wake up in the morning and defy our purposelessness.

Why do people keep asking that? No one, not a single person, knows what the purpose to all life is. And who says there's a purpose anyway?

Our purpose in life is to worship God. Eccl. 12:13: "The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man." This will bring us the most happiness.

The psalmist David also wrote about the incoming new world and how long it would endure. He foretold: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29) That is why Jesus promised: “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.”—Matthew 5:5.

What a grand prospect that is, living forever on a paradise earth free from all wickedness, crime, sickness, sorrow, and pain! In the final book of the Bible, God’s prophetic Word summarizes this grand purpose by declaring: “God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” It adds: “And the One seated on the throne said: ‘Look! I am making all things new.’ Also, he says: ‘Write, because these words are faithful and true.’”—Revelation 21:4, 5.

Yes, God has a grand purpose in mind. It will be a new world of righteousness, an eternal paradise, foretold by the One who can and will do what he promises, for his “words are faithful and true.”

Perfect Health, Everlasting Life.

“No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”—Isaiah 33:24.

“The gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.”—Romans 6:23.

“Everyone exercising faith in him [will] . . . have everlasting life.”—John 3:16.

“You will be with me in Paradise.”—Luke 23:43.

What a marvelous outlook for the future! What real purpose lives can now have when anchored to the solid hope that in God’s new world all of today’s problems will forever be things of the past! “The former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart.” (Isaiah 65:17) And how comforting to know that life then will be eternal: “God will actually swallow up death forever.”—Isaiah 25:8.

Do you want to live forever in that Paradise new world now so near? ‘What would I need to do to get God’s favor at this world’s end and live on into his new world?’ you may ask. You need to do what Jesus indicated in a prayer to God: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”—John 17:3.

Therefore, obtain a Bible, and confirm what you have read here. Search out others who study and teach these Bible truths. Break free from hypocritical religions that teach and do things contrary to the Bible. Learn how you, along with millions of others who are already doing God’s will, can share in God’s purpose that humans live forever on a paradise earth. And take to heart what God’s inspired Word declares about the near future: “The world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.”—1 John 2:17.

Every one was created for a purpose. Each ones purpose is different. One must search their self and ask God to help them find and fulfill their purpose.

We are the accidental products of unthinking natural processes, and therefore the meaning in life can be anything we want it to be. For myself, I didn't choose to exist, but now I'm here I want to enjoy life, bring up my kids well, leave the world a slightly better place than when I joined it, and die having no major regrets about what I have or haven't done in my life.

Only God knows because we were created for Him. When we see Him face to face, He will let us know.
