how do i create 2-em and 3-em dashes in ms word?

Word usually (in my experience) automatically creates 2-em dashes when you type 2 dashes in-a-row: --

All 3 dashes (single, 2-em, and 3-em) are in the special characters Tab of the symbol window (Menu: Insert / Symbol)
