it depends on the context of the sentence. examples:
the cheerleaders: las porristas (las is the plural feminine article)
the house: la casa (la is the singular feminine article)
the car: el carro (el is the singular feminine article)

yes but it's masculine. Some words are feminine, so you'll have to make "the" feminine also. That would be "la" for "the".

In Spanish that depends by genre and quantity.

Los- plural "
