it sounds like you may have either true flying ants or termites.

the only way to be sure is to do a close up inspection of the critters. I enclosed a link below with pictures of each.

your local pest control people can also assist in determining the type, location and possible problems associated with your "guests".

check with your local better business bureau for a reputable pest control company in your local area. ask your neighbors for recommendations.

remember flying ants do NOT mean you have termites. they are not the same thing.
