You can use regular fry pan or electric frypan. You also need egg rings.

Ingredients:
4 C plain flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
1.5 tsp salt
1.5 tsp sugar
3 C lukewarm water
0.5 oz compressed yeast

1. Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt into a large bowl
2. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water
3. Add yeast into dry ingredients, beat until smooth
4. Lightly grease a frying pan/ electric frypan [preheat to 260 degrees F]
5. Lightly grease egg-rings and place in the pan to heat through
6. When the egg-rings are hot, pour batter in until 3/4 full
7. Cook on low heat for about 10 minuts or until surface is covered with holes
8. Remove the rings and cover the pan
9. Cook the crumpets for about 2-3 more minuts or until surface sets
10. Remove crumpets from pan and cool on wire rack

Enjoy :)
