If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq
theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112
deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 10,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 10,000 for the same
period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in
theU.S. Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the
nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington immediately.

I think we should raise taxes to pay for the problem. Other than that, I have no solutions. ~ Nancy Pelosi

Your statistics are incorrect. The monthly rate for the military is 60 per 100,000. The annual rate for D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.

These are not comparable until you make them for the same time period.

Military = 60 / 100,000 monthly = 720 / 100,000 annually
DC = 6.7 / 100,000 monthly = 80.6 / 100,000 annually.

Because if the D.C. numbers were monthly, with a population of about 580,000, they'd be having 468 murders a MONTH. And that is NOT truth.

Stop your idiot propaganda. It upsets me, as a conservative, to see junk propaganda from my own side, which does not need it!

no.

i disagree with the logical conclusion of your stats.

you are trying to make a case for life in iraq being safer than life in washington d.c.

i agree.

we have done a GREAT job in iraq - so much so that it's safer than many american cities.

time to take our last bit of flowers from the population who greeted us as liberators and LEAVE.

by the way, most of the deaths (as you very well know) are not american soldiers, but regular iraqi citizens.

why don't you load up your stats with that in mind...
