I alway thought the word fatal means Causing ruin or destruction. So what is fatal attraction?

You are right...a fatal attraction is an attraction to someone who is bad (harmful) for us. There was a movie called Fatal Attraction in which a woman had an affair with a married man, he broke it off, she stalked him, and ended up being killed in the end.

Well by definition FATAL basically means deadly. So fatal attraction can mean as in the movie fatal attraction dealy, or dealy attraction as in drop dead attrative.
