You teeth will last a lifetime if you care for them properly. When you on in a public restroom ask the persons next to you if they mind you brushing your teeth. If they do respect their wishes and proceed when they leave. I am sure you will plant a good healthy seed for others as you set this healthy example. That is what I call raising up a standard.

It may be inconvenient but at least you have a clean mouth. I prefer brush my teeth in a public restroom that has the automatic sensors to turn the water on but if that is not available, use lots of paper towels to turn the water on and off. Put your toothbrush away before you turn the water off.

Oral-B sells these teeth cleaning things that go on the tip of your finger and you move them in your mouth like a tooth brush.

I have some in the car just incase I walk out of the house and I forget to brush.

This is one of those practices that, for one reason or another, some people think is "inappropriate". That kind of thinking, to me, is silly. Go ahead, brush your teeth, just be careful not to contaminate your toothbrush in any way. The silliest "innappropriatism" for a public washroom is that it is rude to fart there. Think about it.

I have implants and keeping my teeth clean is beyond important to me. If someone don't like that I am brushing my teeth they can turn their head. At least I didn't whip out my toothbrush at the dinner table.
