Here is a picture of what someone looks like from a Scottish paper, wearing a flower of Scotland tartan...

I've sent this mainly so you could see the jacket and tie that you were asking about. I realize the picture is a new tartan coming out and probably not the one you will be having. I assume you will be having the traditional flower of Scotland tartan. Hope this helps

I think that a black jacket with a medium gray pant would be great for the groomsmen to go with the navy blue. Bow ties could be red or green or black to combine with the tartan. Do some research on the net.

Flower of Scotland has black in it, so I think a white tuxedo shirt, a black jacket, vest, and a black bowtie would be just right. Most people match the color of the dresses to the color of the ties, vests, and cumberbunds so that their is a sense of unity between the bridesmaids and groomsmen. But in this case, there already is unity because of the navy in the kilt. There's no need to have a navy tie as well.

My sister did a scottish wedding. Her bridesmaids wore dark green dresses. The groom wore a kilt with knee socks, he wore a black bow tie, and then he wore a sash thing over a white shirt I think. Then after they were married she wore the sash over her wedding dress. I don't think he wore a jacket or vest or anything, I'm trying to remember...it was 8 years ago. My photo albums are packed up in boxes. He only had one groomsman who just wore a suit and tie. Sorry I couldn't be more help, I tried searching for a website online to help you but couldn't find anything. Half of the websites weren't coming up for some reason. Good luck though. Maybe you could find a kilt rental store that you could get ideas from? One I found was www.kiltrental.net or something.

Have black rouge ties, and black jackets for the navy blue have them have a blue and white flowers pined on their jacket or have blue on a napkin coming out of the front pocket on the jacket. Just having a little accent of navy blue would be best. And the rest stick with just black.

Navy or white or cream. Black and navy do not match.
