Chihuahua's are used to being warm so buying her some clothes to keep her warm in the winter isn't a bad idea at all!
Also the salt they use for the roads and sidewalks isn't good for their paws so putting little boots on them while their out can protect them.
Ive used all of these before. Hope it helps!

hi,
i have my first very small dog too, so, i am new at this stuff too.
my puppy was doing the freezin toes dance in upstate ny here, and the salt is really bad for their feet too.
i bought some dog booties on ebay, they actually have rubber treads and they zip and velcro strap. their legs are so skinny, these are the only ones that i find stay on well. you size them by measuring the length and width of the paw.
then, i happened to find a set in target.
petsmart has some, but not this type, and at half the price of ebay.
i bought her a few sweaters and a fleece lined coat, then, on ebay, i found these things that look like fleece pajamas, they hand make them and they are under $10. the item number in ebay was 330080509011, the seller was
heart_of_jesus. you can find the items in ebay if you go under the community link, and copy and paste the name and hit search, or just look up my item number, then there will be alink to sellers other items on the right side of the page, you will see the fleece..
good luck..

First of all, there is no "Teacup Chihuahua". If the Chihuahua you have is tiny (like around 3 or 4 pounds), then what you have is a Chihuahua bred from litter runts. Take the smallest dog from the litter, breed it with another small dog from another litter and you get even smaller dogs.
As for the doggie clothes, I do recommend getting your pup a few sweaters. I'm not a big fan of the shoes, but if you plan to use them only for warmth..that would be fine, as long as they don't bother the dog. Check out Wal-Mart or Target for sweaters and things. Maybe you could ask the pet shop if they would order a few sweaters for you small dog.

For very short haired dogs like yours you can buy a few sweaters and what nots to help keep her warm. You really dont need to go all out and get shoes unless you really have the money. I think if you can make a fleece wrap that is cool it will keep her warm. Find what will be cheap for you so you can afford to buy it.

I have 2 Chi's, and I love them to bits. They do get cold easily so I think you should definetly buy some sweaters and such for your dog. This is a website that I use alot www.designsfordinkydogs.com. I also love the little rap bed that is sold on there. It is very nice and warm, and it is washable. I hope this helps, and I am sure your baby is beautiful.

We have a chihuahua mix, and my wife loves to dress her up. She has sewn several outfits for the dog, and purchased some, too.
Sweaters and coats are available at most chain pet stores (Pet's Mart, Pet Emporium, Petco, etc.).

Your easiest and quickest way (not have to wait for shipping time) is getting litle jackets/sweaters/paw booties is in Petsmart and Petco. Both have a large selection (especially petsmart) for tiny dogs and they are adorable!

Get her a coat and booties from drsfoster&smith.com
Dogs get cold too and they need to keep warm just as much as we do. Also ice can get stuck on and inbetween her toes and feet which can cause frostbite.
KEEP WARM
